If you have ever wanted more comfort without paying business class prices, Qantas has a new option worth knowing about.
What is Economy Plus?
Qantas Economy Plus sits between Economy and Business, offering up to 40% more legroom, priority boarding, and priority access to overhead locker space. It is live now on domestic flights and short international routes, with long-haul aircraft coming later this year.
What Does it Cost?
The pricing is more accessible than you might expect. Sydney to Melbourne comes in at around $30 to $50, or 5,000 to 8,500 Qantas Points. Melbourne to Denpasar runs up to $130 or up to 22,000 points.
For context, that is a fraction of a business class upgrade while still getting a noticeably better experience than standard Economy.
Is it Worth it?
For short hops the value depends on how much legroom matters to you personally. For longer routes like Melbourne to Denpasar, the extra comfort over a multi-hour flight starts to make a stronger case, especially at that price point.
If you are already planning a trip and comfort is a priority, it is worth pricing up before you book.
