What the Offer Is
Qantas is running a double status credits OR double points promotion. Register your preference (status credits or points) and book before September 2 for travel between September 3 and August 14, 2027 and you’ll earn double status credits or double points on eligible flights. The travel window is long, so even if you’re not flying immediately, locking in a booking before the deadline qualifies you. But note that if you change the booking later, it becomes ineligible for the double points/status credits.
Why This Matters
Status credits are the currency that determines your frequent flyer tier with Qantas. Accumulate enough and you move from Bronze to Silver to Gold and beyond, each level unlocking meaningful perks including lounge access, priority check-in and additional baggage allowance. In a normal earn period, building status takes sustained flying over time. A double status credits promotion compresses that timeline significantly, essentially halving the amount of travel you need to do to attain or retain status.
This is one of the fastest paths to Qantas status and it comes around periodically (maybe twice a year) rather than constantly. If you’re regularly flying Qantas and have been sitting just below a status threshold, this offer can close that gap in fewer flights than you’d otherwise need.
The double points component is worth noting too if you’re chasing Points Club before the December 7 deadline, though the status credit acceleration is where the real long-term value sits for most frequent flyers.
The Fine Print You Must Read First
The offer only applies to Qantas operated flights carrying a Qantas flight number. Codeshare flights and partner airlines are not eligible. Don’t book a Jetstar flight thinking you’ll get the offer. It is not enough for the booking to show a QF flight number. The operating carrier must be Qantas itself.
Before you book anything under this promotion, check the operating carrier on your itinerary. If the flight is operated by another airline under a Qantas codeshare arrangement, it will not count. Double check before you confirm the booking, not after.

Open the Qantas app, find the promotion and register and book before September 2. Two days is enough time to act if you move on it today.
