The Solarium by Night Onboard Royal Caribbean's Mariner of the Seas

Two sea days in a row??  Yes please!!  After a very slow morning – we had ordered room service, so ate in our room, we went downstairs to the Savoy Theatre to see the Captain’s Corner segment.  This is a favourite of ours and we do it every time we are onboard – it’s the part of the cruise where you can learn a bit more about the ship you are on, and people have the chance to ask questions of the crew, including the Captain and in our case also the Chief Engineer.  The ship produces 29,445 kgs of ice cubes in a 24 hour period!  18,000 slices of pizza are served each week onboard, and the ship can hold 1862 people in it’s main dining room at any one time!  It’s amazing – basically a floating city!

We chilled out a bit more, just reading on the balcony and watching some TV, and then attended the Crown and Anchor Society Event in Studio B (The ice skating rink) which is an event for returning guests.  They usually put on a few drinks and some food and in this case, they also put on an ice skating show, just for us.  It’s definitely a way to make your customers feel important!

After dinner tonight, there was another show called ‘Center Stage’ in the Savoy Theater, which was pretty good!  After the show, we went for a walk around the Pool Deck where they were having a party.  The photo is of the Adults Only Solarium Pool area by night.  Tomorrow?  Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam!
