Vanuatu does not always make the top of the Pacific travel list, but Espiritu Santo, the country’s largest island, has a few things that are genuinely hard to find anywhere else.

The Blue Holes

Natural freshwater pools surrounded by dense jungle, the blue holes are the kind of thing that looks edited in photos but is just as striking in person. Matevulu and Riri Blue Holes are among the most visited, with water so clear it almost looks artificial. Swimming in them is a completely different experience to anything you would find at a standard beach destination.

Champagne Beach

Consistently ranked among the best beaches in the South Pacific, Champagne Beach delivers white sand and calm, clear water in a setting that still feels relatively undiscovered compared to more heavily touristed Pacific islands. It earns the reputation.

Turtle Bay Lodge

For accommodation, Turtle Bay Lodge offers glamping at the water’s edge with genuine island hospitality. It sits in that sweet spot between comfort and immersion, close enough to nature to feel like a real experience without sacrificing the things that make a stay enjoyable.

Worth the Trip

Espiritu Santo takes a little more effort to get to than Fiji or Bali, but that is part of what makes it worth it. Fewer crowds, remarkable natural features, and a pace that actually lets you slow down.
