The Flower Dome is one of the largest glass greenhouses in the world. Most visitors walk in without realising how much ground it actually covers.

A World Tour Under One Roof

The dome is divided into themed sections representing different regions including the Mediterranean, Australia, and South Africa. Each section has its own distinct plants, landscaping, and climate conditions, all maintained inside a single air conditioned structure.

In Singapore’s heat and humidity, stepping into the Flower Dome is a relief in itself. The cool, dry air is a genuine contrast to the conditions outside and makes it a particularly good stop during the middle of the day.

The Displays Change

During my visit the dome was wrapping up a cherry blossom exhibition. Part of the display appears to rotate seasonally, so what you see will depend on when you visit. It’s worth checking what is showing before you go.

Ticketing Tips

Combined tickets covering both the Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest next door are available and represent better value if you are planning to see both, which most visitors do. Book online before you arrive. Queues at the door can be significant, particularly on weekends, and pre-booking saves meaningful time.

Part of a Bigger Visit

The Flower Dome works well as part of a broader Gardens by the Bay visit. The Cloud Forest next door is a completely different experience and worth pairing with it on the same day.
